Launching 8:00 AM from Milton Yacht Club then to Kennedy Library and Back, about 9 miles. Lunch break at Malibu beach.
Cold water gear required. Kayaks 15 ft + long.

Houghs neck launch is at the Public boat ramp (137 Bayview Road Quincy, MA 02169 ) . Right next to the Quincy Yacht club.

Moderate pace and distance. Out of Houghs Neck or Malibu beach.
High tide around 1 PM.
Drysuits, cold water gear required.

Hi Abby, Steve Yes 137 Bay View Avenue, Quincy MA is the Marina/public launch. Glad yo are early risers. I Like the mornings for smooth seas and Quiet! Let try and Launch at 7:00 am as planned. I did confirm with the Coast guard that the Moon-Long island channel is closed. See you Saturday! Pablo

Hi

I have just heard that the route between Moon and long Islands is likely closed to boat traffic. I am not sure where to check.
if it is closed would you be open to an outer island trip launching from the Houghs neck Marina?

Spectacle Island may have delayed openning

I learned that Spectacle may not open as usual because it gets its power and water from Long Island and that disappeared when the bridge was demolished. They may run generators but water is the main issue.
