Actually, Sue and I were talking about maybe doing the Spit tonight. It would be a casual paddle, since this is only Sue's second time away from Curlew Pond.

Too late? We probably couldn't do much earlier. Our business "officially" shuts down at 5:00, and we have a few customers who regularly like to call in at 4:50 with last-minute updates.

Now that I think of it, to get home, eat a peanut butter samich, load up my gear and drive to the Driftway, it might be 5:45 before I get there. If you want to get a head start I'll catch up.
I don't think you'll find that the water will be moving all that much. Maybe a little chop if there's a breeze. But I'm just out for a pleasant paddle tonight. We won't be having dinner till we get home.

I've been messing around with some video editing software and took some footage last night. I was filming into the sun, so the images are somewhat dark.
Below is a link to a zipped copy of a cheesy video I "produced" this morning. You'll need to download it to your PC and unzip it before you can play it. The zipped file is 5M and when unzipped it will be 18M. It took me 30 seconds to download with DSL (your mileage may vary). The video is in .MPG format.
I'll keep it on my site for a week or so, but will take it off after that so I don't eat up my monthly space and bandwith quotas.
Nobody needs to inform me that I have issues.... I'm quite aware, thank you very much

Very awesome. Love the music. That's Enya right?

What issues are you talking about? You're way too hard on yourself!
I've been having some video ideas, we might need to get together and talk about it.
Thanks everyone, I had a good time. Nice pictures Pat. Pleasure to meet you Sue. I haven't seen the video yet Steve, I heard the music but no video. I'll work on that today. Thanks for the assist Birdseye.
Now if everyone could post a little quieter, Bea is sleeping in.

What a great time we had last night. I can't believe such a big group of Wild Turkeys just dropped everything on a minute's notice!
I'm stuck in dial up, and could not open your video Steve. If Pat is impressed, it must be good. Hopefully I get to see it sometime!
And Todd, you should know me by now. I am not the sleeping-in kind of girl. Remember, I grew up on potatos and cod-liver oil. I have done my jumping-jacks already this morning!

You know, I almost said Clannad. They sounded a lot like the people who sing the theme song to the British series Robin of Sherwood (who happen to be Clannad).
I had a great time last night. Very relaxing paddle. What a perfect night for it! Loved your video, Steve. I thought it was Enya, too. Just right for the sailing scenes. In a couple of days I'll be ready to go again.
