NSRWA Lower North River Paddle - July 24th

Post by Birdseye »

I saw this in the NSRWA newsletter and figured I'd post it since they mentioned my name in it.

Join us for a 6 mile paddle on the lower half of the beautiful North River starting from the Driftway launch site in Scituate and ending up at the Union street Bridge. If time and tide permit we can explore Cove Creek which winds through the marsh adjacent to the Nelson Forest. Meet at 10:00 at the Driftway launch site.

Because this is a one way trip we'll have to park and shuttle some vehicles to and from the start and end of the trip locations. Please sign up early so we can coordinate and plan ahead.

Bring your own kayak, life jacket, appropriate clothing for the weather, water and bag lunch to enjoy. Pre-registration is mandatory please contact Paula at paula@xxxxxxxxx or 781-659-8168. Space is limited so sign up early! Suggested donation is $10.

Nelson,

I think your water pumping assistant is one of the trip leaders

Shuttling sounds like a bit of a pain, but it still sounds like a nice trip, (based on the little bit of Scituate I've seen from my bike.)

Might be doing that Rhode Island thing Saturday, be nice to go out again on Sunday. My wife is off, so we'll be paddling together. I'll keep an eye on this one, see how the schedule works out. Allison would like to go out with the Turkeys. I lied and told her how charming you all are.
