Here are some pics from the session. In all the hustle and bustle, I managed to get 2 pics of myself (ala Nelson) and none of our gracious host.

My lens was fogged up. I tried to touch the photos up but the quality still isn't great

Great practice session. Thanks to Steven and Joyce for their help. I know I am feeling a little better about being on the rougher water. Next we need to practice in a little chop. Keep adding those skills!

Don't know about anyone else, but my ears are still full of water and my head aches. Good incentive to learn bracing and stay upright.

I agree Chip. Great session! Thanks Steve & Joyce for giving us your time.

The pics came out good, it was pretty overcast anyway.

Looking forward to future sessions.

Steve, that was excellent - I can't thank you enough. I now feel confident enough that I'm just heading out to paddle solo from Provincetown to Gloucester. Don't worry - I'll have my cell phone.

But seriously - that was great. I'd like to try practicing the same skills in a less forgiving environment - Plymouth Harbor or Duxbury Bay. I'll be stopping at BSK on my way to camp to buy a bilge pump.

And yeah, I've got a headache, too.

Everyone,

Sorry I missed you. I had an unexpected family emergency.

It looks as though everyone got in some quality time. I hope to get in some practice this weekend.

Yep... my sinus's are killing me. I made the first step and purchased nose clips.... now all I need to do is find them.

That was fun. Many thanks to Joyce for helping out.... and for providing "pumping assistance"... can't take her anywhere

I found a pair at CVS. It said "ages 6+". I think it meant "ages 6-9". They're so tight I could use it to clip large documents.

How's the hamstring today, Steve?

FYI Steve... it's called a hip snap not a ham string snap. Maybe we need to work on your technique.

To the best of my knowledge these sessions will continue though the summer. I wanted to go this Thursday but my mother is having a surgical procedure that day so I won't be able to make it.

Anyone else going?? Anyone with alternative ideas? I might be able to do something Tuesday night.

My understanding is that these sessions go until the lake freezes over. I believe Mark (who sort of runs it) is/was paddling in Alaska (insert sound of violins here). But, I assume the others have been showing.

I was camping down in CT last week and will be out in western Ma., wrapping up my training for saturdays adventure race, this week. I Hope to be at next weeks session.
