Meet at Powder Point Bridge, Duxbury at 10:30 am for a 11:00 am launch (high tide 1:27 pm). We plan to return by 4:00 pm.
The wind prediction for Saturday afternoon is 9 mph out of the NE. Our paddle route will depend on conditions and route will be subject to change if wind kicks up.
Route A. Cross the bay over to Gurnet light and lunch break at Saquish beach.
Route B. Head down towards Standish Monument and explore Blue Fish cove on the return.
Route C. Explore the Duxbury Back Rivers if the bay is too windy.
Distance will depend on conditions, but will most likely be less than 10 miles.
Requirements:
14.5+ sea kayak
life jackets
spray skirt
ocean rescue skills.
Bring a snack or lunch. We will find a place to stretch our legs, eat and work on roll/rescue skills if you want.
