Maine trail around Schoodic & Petit Manan
Looking to paddle downeast later this summer and the stretch from Acadia around Schoodic, past Petit Manan to Bois Burbert is a 23-28 mile stretch, depending on where you start. That is a long day, particularly with two heads to get around. The only public island for camping is Dry, "an opportu...

Re: Cuttyhunk from Gooseberry Neck August 6th
I'm interested in this trip, although tempted to join Josko from or to Woods Hole. I've been paddling many, many years and have paddled open water, am comfortable in swells. Breaking waves are not my favorite, especially at the beam, but most people don't plan for these conditions (right Josko?). I'...

Re: Easy Camping in Casco Bay, Sept 18 - 20
Rob or Jeff, Are you providing all meals during the trip? We will do group dinners and breakfasts, lunches on you. We don't eat freezed-dried - our boats can carry a lot and we tend to eat well. I'm bringing my small dutch oven for fresh-baked bread or dessert. Each participant will be assigned to ...

Re: Labor day weekend in Casco bay : CANCELLED
50% chance of T-showers this Sunday and Monday has led us to cancel this trip. Bummer - our last holiday weekend (July 4th) was also scuttled by a hurricane. Dana Gray and I are planning to paddle Casco on Saturday as a day trip (~16 miles total). Contact me at JBarrell@yahoo.com if interested.

Labor day weekend in Casco bay (Aug 30 - Sept 1)
Anyone looking for paddling adventure this labor day weekend? I'm putting together a kayak & camping trip to upper Casco bay, east of Harpswell/Orrs island. Plan is to setup a base camp on a MITA island and then explore different areas near Cundys harbor. This will be a level 2 trip, so < 15 mil...
