WINTER PADDLING :: Has anyone been paddling recently?

I was curious if there are any 4-season paddlers amongst the Turkeys. And if so: >> Has anyone been out lately? >> What solutions do you have for keeping your feet and hands warm (and dry)? >> Do you folks plan "winter" trips at all? I have a dry suit but haven't been on the water to test ...

Boat/Kayak Ramp behind the new EMS in Hingham Shipyard?

I have heard rumors of a boat launch that can be used in back of the new EMS and there seems to be plenty of parking there. Anyone ever launch from there? There's a marina right there and a marine supply store so I wouldnt be entirely surprised. But I have never noticed one there. If it's open to th...

There can be some significant boater action in the area, particularly on the weekends. On the upside until you get...

Any chance you'll be out on bumpkin this weekend (8/28-8/29) I may consider testing the theory that the rangers will let you stay over night without a reservation. Looks like bumpkin is full up this saturday night. weather may be too nice to resist.

Re: Itty-bitty bottles (for first aid kit)

May want to try go into EMS in Hingham. Look in the backbacking section. You should find little plastic water tight bottles of various sizes. They also sell a "bottle kit" for under 10 bucks, though you can buy just the size and style you are looking for.

anyone paddle a perception eclipse 16?

i am considering the purchase of a used poly perception eclipse. i couldnt find too much on the 16 footer online. I am curious if anyone had experience with the boat (or any eclipse). I did hear a few gripes about the non-locking foot pegs for the rudder and the boat being tippy.

any thoughts?
