Re: Broad Cove Onset to Mass Maritime 3/23/14 noon

Hey!
We are getting ready for our annual spring run of your Nemasket River, from Vaughan Street to Taunton River. I'll shoot you a message when we have a date set!
Also, nice trip report, but cold water paddlers, especially solo, need immersion wear. Save up for that drysuit!

Wellfleet Harbor 7-10-2012

Very nice day, sunny with blue skies, 5 mph breeze. Being a Tuesday, boat traffic was very light, kayakers outnumbered them for sure! Three of us made the jaunt, still trying to convince brother Sean of the virtues of length, and rudders, but alas, he still holds comfort above all else! I love the w...

Re: Dry Drowning Article

Learned of this while researching what had happened to me while snowboarding a couple of years ago. Caught a Tuesday storm at Bretton Woods, a real honest to goodness 24+ inches. Drove up in it the night before just to be there for first tracks in the AM. First run down, surfing the sweet deepness, ...

Re: TRIP REPORT FROM NORM

Some of us are just pushing the envelope, getting out early this year, and making others jealous with trip reports. (I know that there are people that go out all year, but it's not that common in this group from what I've seen.) Norm Understatement of the year! The man is on a mission, and providin...

Re: Nemasket River/Taunton River April 6, 2010

I had scouted some of the bridges the day before, and the water had actually gone down a bit in just 24 hours. You should be golden by vacation week, barring any more torential rains....

Nemasket River/Taunton River April 6, 2010

3 of us made the run from Oliver Mills Park on Rt. 44, to South Street in East Taunton. Not sure of mileage, but it lasted just over 4.5 hours, including a stop for lunch. Weather was overcast with sprinkles, but we appreciated the coolness. 10 bridges total, but with only 2 portages, and a couple o...

There's no sea kayaking in the X-Games?

Seriously, maybe too many other warm weather options?
Kayaking has to share my free time with mountain biking, hiking, and golf. I would definitely kayak more if did not enjoy the others.

Re: Stage Harbor

Hello! I have done a bit of paddling around there the last few years, being the location of a cottage that my friend owns, who also has been paddling there for longer. I'm sure many others on here could tell you as much, but having just been there last Friday, thought I'd throw my 2 cents in. The tr...
