Re: Sea Anchors?

Hi Dick, I have a couple of sea anchors from old 6 man liferafts that I junked after using for safety at sea demonstrations. They look about the right size for a kayak and you are welcome to one. They were (thankfully) never used. They are typical liferaft sea anchors, conical rip stop type nylon ab...

And I nearly made it but had a call that my new paddle (Epic Mid Wing, Burgandy Shaft) had arrived and by the time I got it it was too late to get to Hingham. It's just too nice to use! Now my boat needs a new engine to go with it! Looks like I missed a great evening - see you next time. Cheers, Bev.

Thanks for posting this - looks like fun and I am in! It would be great to have a few more WTP's there. I will be in Gloucester that weekend if anyone wants to paddle on Sunday also - warm up for the Blackburn?

I have sent an e-mail to the organizers asking if they will consider a sea kayak class. I would definitely be up for doing this - looks like a great event. I am doing the Blackburn Challenge again this year. I really enjoyed last year's race. It is a fun event and you do not have to be a top flight ...

Aruba??

Anyone paddled in Aruba? I am hoping I can find a place to rent a decent boat, so if you have any good info please let me know.

All I have found by surfing the web are organized tours and plastic beach sit on boats. I suspect I will enjoy the trip whatever though!

Hi, I have put in a few times at the Soldiers Field Road location. The kayak rental operation has nice docks which they let others use provided we do not get in the way of renters. Parking was not a problem for me, even in the summer when it was busy. Love the idea of the dress up! I am probably in ...

Sorry to hear about the fire and hope you can still make it. I will be at the put in a little before 10 and as I paddle the river often am happy to point out the spots where rocks lurk. I can also do the shuttle.

See you tomorrow.
