I have heard it is beautiful, and would be interested. Can it be done as a daytrip? I am not much of a camper.

I agree with you. Fall would probably be the best time to kayak this river as the foliage would make it interesting. That is, if you have any water left? It seemed pretty shallow.

The "Mellonheads" are the owners of Mellonseed boats ( built by Roger Crawford). The Mellonseeds are small sailboats about 13 feet long. Correct me if I'm wrong, Steve. I am new to this.

It seemed like we were on a treadmill for kayakers. Total sameness for 4 hours straight! The only excitement was the traffic noise when we kayaked under Route 128 at rush hour!
