Hi all I'm planning on going to paddle tonight. Are people still going? I only ask because of the rumored thundar and lighting storm. I know a little rain won't matter as we will all be wet anyway 'When shall turkeys meet again? In thunder, lightning or in rain? ... Fair is foul, and foul is fair: ...

I don't know if I spelled that right. I'm sure if I didn't, most of you know where I mean.

I have a bent shaft Ikelos and Cypress, 215 and will bring them both. it's a good way to get a feel of the difference blade area makes.

Woould like to borrow a wing blade in Hanson this Thursday

I'll swing by Hanson this week. Would anybody have a wing blade that I could borrow for a few minutes on the pond? I'm itching to try one.

Hi John, there are plenty of opportunities to paddle this summer. I do a lot of trips out of Woods Hole. You might like the August 17 and 18 'Intro. to Woods Hole' trips or even, if you feel up to 17-18 miles, the circumnavigation of Naushon on June 15. They are listed in the 'Upcoming Trips' sectio...

I'd love to join you all, but we have an AMC 'leaders' tuneup' on Lake Cochituate on Saturday, and it would be grossly politically incorrect for me to no-show. However, we are doing a training paddle from Woods Hole to Quicks' hole on Sunday. All who can get to Pie in the Sky by 0800 and think they ...

Re: Washburn Paddling Trips May 31, June 1 + June 2

A couple comments from a local: on June 1, tide ebbs (west) until noon and can give one a nice push when paddling westwards along Falmouth shore. Similarly, you'll get a nice lift eastwards in the afternoon. If the prevailing SW builds earlier than expected, there is a nice lee along the coastline. ...

I’ve owned a Bahiya now for three seasons and paddled it extensively, particularly around my home area of Woods Hole, MA. Overall, it’s a great boat for certain conditions, and compromised in others. My solution is to relish it for long-distance paddles, and get an NDK Romany for surfing and general...
