Boston Outer Islands Friday July 5

Post by rkhederian »

I would like to launch from Windmill Point in Hull and head out to the Outer Islands. I was thinking with this heat it will be a bit cooler away from land, and the Outer Islands is less likely to have boat traffic.

If it is very hot I figure we can spend some time swimming and relaxing at the east side of Lovells, and then head around Great, Middle, and outer Brewster and then return. If people are up to it, we can head out to Green Island, and maybe event the Graves, but again only if people are up for it and the seas are reasonable. Total mileage could be between 10 and 15, depending on where we go.

I would like to meet around 9:30, LAUNCH at 10. Plan to be back by 4.

High tide is around 10AM, marine forecast says winds 10-15kts, gusts in the afternoon up to 20kts. You should be comfortable in these conditions, some boat waves, and staying in a close group as we cross the (one) major channel, Nantasket Roads.

Please post if interested.

Well, since no one responded I am going to make other plans. Hopefully, we can get some paddling in soon.
