On July 31, 2010 The Coalition for Buzzards Bay will be running their annual swim for the Bay. Osprey Sea kayak Adventures will be providing the safety kayakers for the unsupported swimmers for the event. We are looking for anyone interested in being a safety boat. Kayakers must have good rescue skills, a spare pfd (OSKA can provide) and a radio. We will be coordinating with the Environmental Police, the Coast Guard Fire and Rescue and Police from both New Bedford and Fairhaven.

I'm a relatively new Kayaker, I did it years ago but I'm also a trained life guard and had at one point in my life both Boy Scouts of America Guard certification and American Red Cross... might be a bit rusty but I could help if needed?
