A great day on the water. Something for everyone,

The excursion out to the Clarks Island got back to the beach just as the conditions closed in. Had a few sprinkles on the way back across the bay, but it held off. Even better, it started to pour just as I got on 3A to come back home...washing everything down.

Thanks Pat for organizing this trip,finally got my kayaking fix !
Special thanks to the more seasoned members for letting me join them out to Clarks.

For those who asked me about my boat purchase (North Cove Outfitters, Inc.) they put on the best
paddlesports demos, its all weekend at Camp Hazen on Cedar Lake in Chester Ct .
Great pricing on new boats with no pressure to buy and tons of boats to try.

Chatted with Audrey after the paddle and she expressed an interest in transitional trips. John, sounds like you'd fit in well with this, too. It's something we should probably work more toward. AND more rec trips!

This was a well-organized trip in a lovely area with great weather. Thanks to the established members for leading and sweeping.
The day started out with introductions all around which helped establish a feeling of camaraderie. Happily, I found this to be a group of paddlers that were considerate, fun-loving, jovial, knowledgeable and responsible. To those of you I got a chance to talk with, thanks for making it such a pleasant day. And thanks also to those who helped people load and unload their boats, and who shared their trail mix!
I’m looking forward to paddling again with you all.
