Moving Water Session August 6th

Post by Johnysmoke »

If anyone wants to head over to play Little Harbor there is a 3pm high tide which would be good to go around 4:30or so. I'd say meet around 4pm and get paddling by 4:15 or so. Helmet, self/assisted rescues, and at least a 14 foot boat with a skirt required. If Chris is interested again I'd say a group of about 8 would work fine.

Steve and I are interested. Earlier in the day would allow us more time to play!
I am pretty sure I can arrange for coverage at work tomorrow but If I can't I will let you know so someone can take our spot.

Hey Tracey
I know its on 8/6 but I need to arrange coverage for the last group I run from 2:30 to 3:30 in advance. I don't think there will be a problem but I have to go through a new boss in nursing.

How does "I have an appointment with my kayaker" sound? I think if I say it fast enough it might squeeze by.

Abby - I think you should just say its a "training class" and not be specific.

I'm going to try to make it also on Monday if I'm not burned out from all the other stuff I have planned for this week.

I would like to try this time. I do not have a helmet, but do have a hard head.

Ron,

I don't have an extra, but
I'm sure there is someone
you can borrow one from.

I can help with this. I believe that I have an extra helmet that Ron can use.(and one for Bea also)

Thanks again for everyone who came out. No rain this time and great conditions. Everyone looked pretty comfortable playing with the current and getting more experience.

It was great to see Norm and everyone else surfing or trying to get onto the feature!
