This is not my answer to Bea's Challenge because it's not a favorite of mine, just a simple trip for some exercise to get in paddling shape. I will post more trips later in the season.
Saturday is forecast to be quite breezy, so I think the actual route of the trip will need to be determined at launch time, but there are some protected options in the area near Powderpoint Bridge.
High tide is at 3:00pm, so lets plan to launch at noon, so please be there in however much time you need to get prepared. I hope parking won't be a major issue, but it is very busy there so please carpool if you can.
Here is a Google Maps link for anyone that does not know where the Powder Point Bridge Launch spot is located: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=42.04650 ... 1&t=h&z=16
Wet exit/Rescue skills are required.
I would recommend at least a 15 foot boat.
Ability to paddle 10-13 miles.
Proper clothing and gear for cold water and air temps required!
Please reply if you are planning to attend.
