Ooops, sorry Jordan, I didn't intend to hijack your trip or change any plans. (Just realized how this looks.) Please excuse my noob exuberance. I will shut up now.
Sue

No apologies necessary, I'm all for a Plan B that works for those who are still looking to get, willing to get wet, but not looking for major wind or the perfect storm.

I would love to get out and location is a far secondary concern for me.

Seriously, I'm happy to relocate our plans to wherever seems most favorable / preferable for tomorrow.

Sorry to keep shifting Planss........

Plan B: Long Pond in Lakeville

~ 9 mile paddle around the perimeter, followed and or mixed in with an abbreviated skills session.

Plan on meeting @ 10, plan on paddling in the rain, and bring some skills accessories too, nose plugs, paddle float etc.

Hope to see you tomorrow. :D

PS: bring something to tide you over for lunch on the water and we can PPR if folks are interested after too :D

Thanks, Jordan, for your tips and advice. Hope we can get out a few more times before the season is over.
You looked like a kid in a candy store out there today, nice to finally get a chance to paddle with you in a boat, instead of on a dock!

More sad news.

Post by kayakerjnj »

I just heard, another one of our old paddling friends Linda Sullivan past away yesterday, after her long battle with Cancer. She had moved to North Carolina a few years ago to be near her kids / grand kids. She was great person, and truly enjoyed being on the water. She was the older sister of a grammar school mate / friend (Mark Laham), so I actually met Linda nearly 50 years ago. Hard to believe, on so many levels...

Thank you, Jordan, for letting us know. That is incredibly sad news. Linda was a wonderful human being and a great kayaker. So many fond memories from paddling with her.
